Finding balance can be a difficult thing… Between family, friends, working full-time, church activities, household responsibilities, exercising, and various other actives: life can get busy! I won’t say that I have it *all* figured out, but I would love to share any tips that I *do* have that I discover along this journey of life.
A little about me… I have been happliy married to my husband Jon for almost 19 years. We have two teenage boys: Adam 15, and Josh 13. When people warned us about how fast they would grow up I wish I would have listened a little better. It’s crazy how quickly it has gone, and I don’t even want to think about the fact that Adam could be moving out in four years and going off to college! I work full-time as a Registered Nurse in pre-post surgery, which basically means that I get patients ready for surgery and then take care of them after and discharge them home. I’ve been a nurse for 17 years. I am also a Certified Health Coach. My husband is a Associate Pastor. We both love our church and the members are truly like family to us! Our boys are both actively involved in service at church on the Tech Team.
Some of my hobbies are bargain shopping (I love finding good deals!), working out, reading, walking my dog (Monte, who is a boxer), and meeting friends for coffee. I love to learn new things and encouraging others. I have a passion for women’s health. I want to motivate women to live their healthiest lives possible: physically, mentally, and spiritually. I want to teach women that taking care of themselves means so much more that just how the outside of the body looks. If we don’t take care of ourselves mentally and spiritually, there really isn’t any use of worrying about the outside!
Through this blog I will be sharing tips on fitness, healthy eating, taking care of our bodies as the Temple of Christ, time-management, organization ideas, improving relationships, book reviews, devotionals, and any other helpful things that I learn along the way.
