Podcasts…. Free Education

I am a HUGE fan of podcasts.  I listen to them everyday when I get ready, when I’m cleaning, and even when I go grocery shopping (with headphones of course).  Podcasts are like FREE education!  People pay a lot of money for courses and workshops, but podcasts offer so much invaluable information.  Another great thing is that you can listen to them while doing other things!  It’s a great way to multitask.

I wanted to share a few of my favorite podcasts:

The first one is Chalene Johnson.  She actually has two. One is more of a health and wellness one (The Chalene Show), and one is more for business (Build Your Tribe).  I first heard of Chalene through her “Turbo Jam” workouts that are kickboxing-type moves combined with dance and cardio moves.  They are super fun and are what created my love of fitness!  Lately, Chalene has been talking more about making and achieving goals. She created a program called “Push” that is a 30-day program to help you live your best life.  You can read the book “Push” or go to http://www.30daypush.com to do the free program!

Another favorite of mine is called “Balanced Bites” by Diane Sanfilipo and Liz Wolfe.  They talk a lot about Paleo-style eating, but I like that they are real and understand that sometimes you have to modify a little (which is why it’s called “balanced”).  They are fun to listen to and have a lot of great tips.  Diane is the author of the book “Practical Paleo” and Liz Wolfe wrote “Eat the Yolks”.

Another favoite that I just found a few days (and have been listening to non-stop!) is “On Air With Ella”.  She’s got a ton of great speakers that talk about health, wellness, and mindset.  They focus on eating real/whole foods and nothing “gimmicky”.

And finally, another favorite podcast is “Marriage Today” by Pastor Jimmy Evans. My husband and I love hearing his messages. His DVD series “Marriage on the Rock” is actually what saved our marriage almost 14 years ago! More on that in another blog coming soon.

Hope you enjoy these podcast suggestions, and I would love to hear of any great podcasts that you listen to!
